Upstairs Film is proud to present the 3rd Annual Tucson Film + Music Festival, Labor Day weekend August 30 – Sept 3, 2007. This year a plethora of film and music events will take place at the Rialto Theater, Hotel Congress and the Cinema La Placita - all in downtown Tucson.
The festival is thrilled to host the Arizona premiere of “Scott Walker: 30 Century Man” as the Opening Night film. Featuring David Bowie, Sting, Radiohead and many other music luminaries. Closing out the festival is another Arizona premiere – the all-female roller derby drama “Hell On Wheels.” This kick-ass documentary details the re-birth of the international roller derby scene. Directed by Austin filmmaker Bob Ray, who will be in attendance for Q&A, the screening will be followed by the closing night party with local rockers Love Mound performing.
Thanks to all the filmmakers and musicians who participated in TFMF 06. We look forward to another fun-filled fest in 2007!
Cheers,
Michael Toubassi
